Mavenir, an end-to-end cloud native network software provider for Communications Service Providers (CSPs), recently announced it acquired ip.access LTd. The Cambridge, UK-based firm. ip.access provides 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G-ready small cell solutions.
Mavenir and Turkcell announce the world’s first Open RAN vRAN call fully containerized with O-RAN Split 7.2 architecture, supports Public Cloud, Private Cloud and at the RRU site as well as MIMO, mmWave, edge micro services and network slicing for 5G NR.
The collaboration will allow Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to deploy Mavenir’s market leading 4G/5G products and applications with VMware’s container technologies on Dell Technologies’ Telco cloud/edge computing infrastructure.
This will open up Local/Private 5G Network opportunities for enterprises, regional authorities and other organizations.
