About Sachin Karkala
SVP & GM, RAN Business Unit
Sachin is the SVP and GM of RAN business unit at Mavenir. He is an engineer at heart, and passionate about driving strategic and innovative solutions. He has been part of Mavenir for over a decade and half, and has led the R&D of IMS, Messaging and Unified communication products. He has played a crucial role in the development of the industry’s first VoWiFi and VoLTE solutions and more recently he was responsible for leading the research and development of world’s first cloud native, 5G ORAN SA FDD solution.
Prior to his work at Mavenir, Sachin held various positions at Motorola, including a role in the development of GSM/UMTS Softswitch products. He also has a diverse range of experience in telecom and embedded systems from his previous roles at Motorola/Winphoria Networks, Wipro/Cisco, and Dexcel Electronics.
