Converged Voice Solutions

Mavenir is addressing the mobile operator’s need to transition mobile voice services from a traditional SS7 based silo networks to an all IP based core network (Mobile cloud services) based on IMS. Mobile Operators can now introduce enhanced mobile voice services for consumers and enterprise customers on standard mobiles and new IP enabled devices, with or without IMS to enrich the user experience, increase revenues and improve customer loyalty. The rich voice and video services bundled with mobility and service adaption provide users the freedom to communicate over various access domains and devices whenever they choose.

Mavenir solutions focus on launching critical and innovative voice services for mobile operators with technology enablers which can be seamlessly integrated into existing network environments.

  • Voice over 4G solution empowers LTE and WiMAX operators to offer rich voice, video and messaging services to their subscribers as a core offering. Voice over 4G provides a drastic cost savings and enables new services such as Video calling, One number and media sharing services across various 2G, 3G and 4G mobiles and IP enabled devices. Mavenir solutions include MSC TAS which offers rapid service delivery and service parity with the current 2G/3G mobiles. Mavenir’ Mobile TAS, based on MMTEL, supports MAP and ANSI-41 services with built in CAMEL or WIN triggers, mobile operators can cost effectively offer consistent voice services in the IMS domain, while launching new telephony services. The Mobile TAS complements the Mobility Server to provide critical mobility functions such as VCC, SR-VCC and SCC to enable seamless mobility across IMS and GSM, UMA, UMTS or CDMA (ANSI-41) networks.
  • Mobile VoIP or Connected Home empowers operators to offer MSC-based voice services on new IP devices and offer differentiated products that extend mobile services beyond the mobile. Mavenir solution - MSC TAS (or SIP BSC) - enables any standard GSM/UMTS/CDMA MSC to become a IETF SIP or IMS Telephony Application Server, accelerating delivery of Mobile VoIP and messaging services over LTE, WiMAX or Fixed IP. Operators can rapidly launch mobile services over PC clients, SIP ATA adapters and Mobile VoIP clients over smart phones and other home devices such as tablets leveraging existing integration of MSC with provisioning, billing and regulatory systems.
  • Pico and Femto Services empowers operators to manage traffic from Femto cells to the core network, while offering unique value added services in the residential or enterprise coverage zone. FSG includes our ICS technology to connect 2G (GSM and CDMA), UMA and 3G-CS Femto directly into an IMS core to provide services such as Enterprise Voice to consumer Instant Messaging and Presence.
  • Mobile Voice Routing is complementary to all the above services oriented solutions, to optimize the routing of voice across various networks. As part of the network transformation, Mavenir voice routing solution utilizes SIP technology to deliver a intra or inter network voice call to the destination MSC without requiring any media gateways. This drastically reduces the cost and the time delay to deliver the voice call to the right destination.

All the Converged Voice solutions are based on relevant 3GPP/2 and OMA standards, with open interfaces towards existing network elements or 3rd party applications. All the IMS solutions are available with optional core enablers integrated onboard with our application servers, simplifying deployment and lowering costs. The Mavenir enablers include I/S-CSCF, XDMS & HSS adapter applications. Turnkey IMS core network is also available with partner products for HSS, P-CSCF and Media Gateways.

All IMS solutions can be bundled with Mavenir’s technology innovation (now standardized) - IMS Centralized Services. IMS Centralized Services or ICS in short, allows operators to connect and deliver IMS services to any device by connecting the IMS core to 2G, 3G, UMA Macro, Pico and Femto cells. With IMS Centralized Services (ICS), mobile operators can eventually transition the voice core to all-IP, eliminating the need for legacy MSCs.
